Beautify my life by writing short stories once again

I used to write short stories regularly during my middle school days. If I remember correctly, I would write them on a Google Doc first, and then I used a writing platform called Storybird, which was sort of advertised for children, but many talented writers used it too.

I wish I still had the Google account. It was a school account, so it is unlikely that I will get it back now. However, my Storybird account still exists, although I will not share it here for privacy reasons.

But what this all boils down to is how much I miss writing. Aside from one Homestar Runner fanfic I wrote on AO3, I haven't really written anything in the past several years. I recently stumbled upon a website called Short Stories, which, as the name suggests, is a community-driven platform for reading and writing short stories.

I want to get back into writing. I plan to start again with this website. I've had so many ideas floating through my mind—ideas that spark creativity and that feeling of how beautiful it will be once written, and of showing it to the world.

I've always had an interest in horror, and while I rarely read horror literature, every other form of horror media has always piqued my interest. I plan to write a horror short story first. Then, I'll expand upon this and maybe do some sci-fi and thriller, or perhaps combine them into a sci-fi thriller horror!

EDIT: Found this Reddit comment that has some very good tips. I'll keep these in mind for later.
